Bob, Bell's Palsy is nerve damage in the face and by the ear. It's water, salt, minerals (zinc, magnesium), vitamin C, vitamin E with selenium and lots of amino acids. and as you know stop the coffee, tea, soda, chocolate and alcohol. and flax seed oil in a capsule. The most important after water and salt my opinion is flax seed oil and amino acids and eat dark green raw. or get liquid chlorophyll. and also zinc and yes lots of vitamin C. like 2000-3000 mg a day for anyone that sick. I take 500 mg morning, noon and evening meal plus the 500 mg that is in my multi-vitamin that I take morning and evening. Our body needs an outside source of vitamin C and flax seed oil Omega 3 and Omega 6 that's Alpha-Linolenic acid is Omega 3 and Omega 6 is Linoeic acid. Bell's Palsy generally happens from an injury to the face or around the ear. A stroke could cause something like it also.
